About us

Our family runs the restaurant  since the year 1844. The „Gasthof Prankl“ was always there to welcome people from all over the world. In former days we hosted the boatsmen, now we serve traditonal food and perfect wine to guests from all over the world. Relaxing on the terrace with a view of the danube, watching ships going by, that is, what we call the sound of wachau.

If you want to stay longer, we offer big appartments, suites and beautiful double rooms. All rooms are connected with free Wi-Fi. Parking is also free for our house guests close to our restaurant. All our rooms are without a carpet in the room, perfect for persons suffering from an allergy. We also offer breakfast on our terrace on sunny days with a great view.

We have 12 rooms for max. 30 people and all floors are connected by an elevator:
